Design Engineer, Poole

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer at a world leading engineering/manufacturing company based in Poole.

You should have experience with SolidWorks, designing for dynamic systems and mechanisms. It is essential you have worked on special purpose machinery with dynamic motions previously. You will join a team of around 15 designers and report in to the Engineering Manager.

The role:
Design of mechanical systems involving high volume and high quality design.

- Design, detail and create bills of material within a team of predominantly mechanical engineers, but liaising with other relevant teams to meet the specific requirements set.

You will be adapting existing designs to suit customer requirements, although there is also some pure Research and Development;
Most of the work relates to high speed mechanical packaging machines and associated product handling systems;
A lot of the work is project based, either working on own or as part of a team. However, there is also a requirement to perform unplanned ad-hoc design.

If you have experience with Radan 2D this would be useful as this is what is used for the legacy work. All the new work is done using SolidWorks 3D.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits.
