Production Engineer (Electronics), Great Britain

I am working with a global manufacturing company based in Cambridge. They are looking for someone qualified in Electronics and ideally with 1-2 years relevant work experience.

The role:
Electronics Production Engineer to join a highly skilled production team.

Duties:
* Managing production/test/qualification equipment.
* Qualification engineering (analysis, inspection & test) to verify compliance of Test equipment and results.
* Assist engineering team with the development of company products.
* Assist with the creation of operating instructions, assembly instructions, including formal assembly and detailed drawings, hazard/safety analyses, change requests, change notes etc.
* Management of some production ramp up projects - typically for new product introductions
* Liaison with and support of client technical staff. Processing of customer returns and the creation of fault analysis reports where appropriate.
* Management and maintenance of tool and equipment calibration across 2 sites.
* Provision of Technical support to production

The successful candidate will require the following:

* Basic level of electronics to A Level as a minimum, ideally qualified to a degree level
* Manufacturing experience
* Analogue and digital experience
* Fault finding with electronic circuits
* Strong ms office skills
* Methodical approach as there is lots of data analysis
* Familiar with RMA - return material authority
* Familiar with FMA - failure mode analysis

If you have any of the following it would be very useful:

* Ability to read and understand circuit schematics
* Ability to fault find to component level on PCBA.
* Previous experience in a production environment.
* Working knowledge of IPC and ISO standards.
