The effects of Brexit on the local labour market will come under the microscope at a business forum later this month.

TeamExecutive the associate brand of recruitment specialist TeamJobs, will partner with Steele Raymond Solicitors to host: The future of jobs - What does a post-Brexit UK labour market look like and how can we best prepare? at the Hilton Bournemouth on November 22.

Attendees will have the opportunity to quiz an expert panel including Tom Hadley, Director of Policy & Professional Services at The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).

The Echo’s Business Editor Darren Slade will also present a Question Time-style debate.

Jason Gault, MD of TeamExecutive and TeamJobs, said:

“Two years on from the EU Referendum, the uncertainty of what the future holds for business leaders post-Brexit is all too real.

“TeamExecutive and representatives of Steele Raymond will address what the latest jobs market data shows and its vision of the short and longer term outlook.

“We will be looking at which sectors and job roles are most likely to be disrupted, how employers are innovating to address skills and staffing shortages and how the political and regulatory landscape will evolve, with the aim of helping business leaders plan for different scenarios.”

Speaking ahead of the event, REC Director Tom Hadley, said:

“There has never been a more important time to exchange views on current and forthcoming workforce challenges. Huge political, social, regulatory and technological changes are afoot; I look forward to sharing our take on what a future jobs market and business landscape might look like and how we can best prepare.”

Amy Cousineau Massey, Associate and Head of Employment at Steele Raymond will also outline some of the possible employment issues raised by the UK leaving the EU.
