TeamJobs company amps up its electric fleet
The forward-thinking recruitment specialist which has 28 employees shared between offices in Parkstone Poole and central Bournemouth, invested in electric vehicles to lower its business travel emissions.
Electric vehicles are just one of a raft of sustainable measures introduced by the company in recent years, including a financial reward system for staff using public transport and bicycles to get to and from work.
Managing Director Jason Gault said: “Our first electric cars were Nissan Leaf and even though they were by no means the cheapest option for staff vehicles at the time, we knew we wanted to make a commitment to sustainable transport and it has worked brilliantly.
“The electric cars have been a big hit with staff as they feel much nicer to drive than petrol cars, very smooth and quiet,” Jason added.
“We also plug them in at the offices and they’re good to do, with no costly petrol costs.”
He continued: “There are no shortage of people wanting to try out the i3s. They are BMW’s first mass produced zero emissions vehicle and as well as being environmentally friendly, they are beautifully designed.”
